When it comes to playing pickleball – especially competitive pickleball – choosing what food you put in your body’s engine is more important than what gas you put in your car.
After participating in so many pickleball tournaments and experimenting with all different kinds of food units, I don’t think there is just one set thing a person should eat. The following suggestions are just things I have learned along the way as both a triathlete and a pickleball player.
Organized long distance bike rides and long runs of 20 miles or more offer peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with bagels, cookies, M & M’s and cut oranges. This is great if you are doing an event for a very long period of time.
